HC Deb 14 March 1988 vol 129 c449W
Mr. Corbyn

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what discussions he has had with unions representing staff at Department of Employment offices in London concerning staff levels, conditions and transfers since January.

Mr. Lee

There have been a number of extensive discussions between senior officials in the employment service and CPSA union officials since some CPSA members started strike action in Camden towards the end of December 1987. On 9 March there was a meeting between the general secretary and deputy general secretary of the CPSA and senior officials in my Department and it was agreed a further meeting should take place.
