§ Mr. BiffenTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many letters he has received concerning the proposals for hospital closures tabled by the Shropshire health authority; and how many of these supported the proposals.
§ Mrs. CurrieWe have received over 1,000 letters in recent months from hon. Members, local organisations and members of the public about health services in Shropshire. A high proportion of these were received prior to the commencement of the formal consultation on Shropshire health authority's proposals but no letters have expressed support for hospital closures in the district. All views will be taken into account.
