§ Mr. WaldegraveThe Department has issued today the letter announcing my right hon. Friend's decisions, taken jointly with my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Transport and for Energy, confirming (with modifications) the London Docklands (East Docklands) Compulsory Purchase Order 1985. A copy of the decision letter has been placed in the Library. Because objections by a local authority and by a statutory undertaker remain outstanding, the order is subject to special parliamentary procedure and will not become operative until the relevant processes have been completed.
