§ 76. Mr. FlynnTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what resources his Department plans to provide to train foster parents dealing with children involved in suspected cases of non-accidental injury.
§ Mr. NewtonThe training of foster parents is a matter for individual local authorities who set their own priorities in relation to available resources. However, we recognise that there may be a need to develop new training materials for use in the preparation of foster parents who will be having abused children placed in their homes, and we are considering this for the inclusion in the Government's central child abuse training initiative.
