To ask the Secretary of State for Energy whether he has any changes to announce to his Department's cash limits for 1987–88.

Mr. Parkinson

In addition to the £1 million reduction announced on 2 February 1988, at column 533, the cash limit for class VI, vote 2 has been reduced by a further £10 million to £240.272 million. This reduction is to help offset the increase in provision in class VI sought in a Spring Supplementary Estimate (HC. 284) to the non-cash limited vote 1.
