§ Mr. AllenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) further to his answer of 22nd February, what changes have been necessitated in the calculation of indicators for Nottingham as a result of the changes in Nottingham's housing waiting list;
(2) when he expects discussions between his Department and the Housing Corporation regarding changes in the Nottingham housing waiting list to he completed; and if he will make a statement as to the likely effects.
§ Mr. WaldegraveAs I explained in my earlier answer, waiting list figures are not used in the housing needs index. Discussions of the calculations and other indicators for Nottingham have, however, been concluded and the city's latest housing needs index score has been increased. The corrected figures will be taken into account in future decisions about the allocation of the Housing Corporation's programme; the error had no bearing on allocations to be made for 1988–89.
