§ Mr. HeddleTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish in theOfficial Report details of the sequence of events which have caused him to delay his decision in the matter of the London Docklands East Docklands Compulsory Purchase Order 1985; and if he will now publish his decision.
§ Mr. TrippierThe order covers an unusually large number of plots owned by a wide diversity of local authority, statutory undertakers and private interests. It has been necessary for the Department to consult other Government Departments under the Acquisition of Land Act 1981 and to seek agreement from the parties affected on the dimensions of those plots where compulsory acquisition is to be confirmed in part. My right hon. Friend's decision is expected imminently.
