To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he expects the Royal Navy's Valiant class submarines to be phased out of service.

The planned decommissioning dates of Royal Navy vessels are classified.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on his Department's progress on proposals for disposing of the Valiant class of submarines once they become redundant.

§ Mr. Sainsbury
No decisions have yet been taken on the preferred disposal route for reactors from decommissioned nuclear submarines.
