To ask the Minister for the Arts whether the credits made available to the Inland Revenue by his Department which were specified in his answer to the hon. Member for Warley, East on 16 February,Official Report, columns 571–2, represent bookkeeping entries within central Government accounting not involving any payment of money.

These cases, and other acceptance in lieu transactions, involve payments to the Inland Revenue, not bookkeeping entries.
