HC Deb 04 March 1988 vol 128 c718W
Mr. Cohen

To ask the Prime Minister how many subject access requests under the terms of the Data Protection Act her office has received; what was her estimate of this number; whether she is reconsidering the subject access fee charged by her Department as a result; and whether she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

The Cabinet Office has received 22 subject access requests. Most of these have been from employees of the office who are not charged a fee. For other requests the standard fee of £10 is charged. The office did not expect a large number of requests and is not reconsidering the fee.
