§ Mr. Donald ThompsonNegotiations on the draft EC Council regulation defining the major spirit drinks are continuing. Provision for spirit drinks which traditionally use the term "brandy" but which are not made from a distillate of wine, such as "cider brandy", is likely to be dealt with later, during consideration of the detailed, implementing rules.
