To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the real level of interest rates in the United Kingdom, West Germany and Japan; and if he will make a statement.

There is no unique measure of "real" interest rates. But the OECD's monthly publication "Main Economic Indicators" gives various interest rates and price indices for OECD countries.
