§ Mr. Michael SpicerI have today announced a new phase of the hot dry rock programme to run from October 1988 and costing up to £8.15 million. The new programme will include
649Wexperimental work on the existing reservoir al Rosemanowes quarry to help test the feasibility of techniques that would be required to create a commercial system in a new reservoir approximately 6 m deep;an initial design study for a 6km deep system in collaboration with interested industrial companies; supporting technical and economic studies.Reports of the review are being published and I will arrange for copies to be placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
