To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement about his Department's commitment to the future development of small business and the enterprise culture.

Mr. Cope

This Department has specific responsibility for the Government's policies towards small firms. It is our aim to ensure that the strong growth of enterprise and the small firms sector continues, with the assistance of the small firms service, the enterprise allowance scheme and other support from this Department.
