United Kingdom manufacturers' sales up to and including 1980 are for firms employing 25 or more people for both wooden and plastic cabinets. From 1981 onwards the figures relate to firms employing 50 or more for plastic cabinets and 35 or more for wooden cabinets. Therefore, figures for export and import ratios are not given as they are likely to overstate the true position.
