Glaxo and British Biotechnology are collaborating with the University of Oxford in pharmaceutical application. Dalgetty and Whitbread are collaborating with the University of Leicester in food applications. Six further companies are in discussion of collaboration with institutes of the Agriculture and Food Research Council.
