To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many applications he has received in each of the years 1983 to 1988 for the treatment of a claim for supplementary benefit as a claim for(a) attendance allowance and (b) invalid care allowance in the Leeds metropolitan district council area; and how many such applications were successful in each of those years.

Number of applications for supplementary benefit claims or other documents to be treated as claims for attendance allowance or invalid care allowance under the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1979 in Great Britain 1983–88.
