§ Mr. TrippierThe LDDC estimates that between 1981 and 1986 10,700 jobs were attracted to docklands, and 7,413 jobs were lost, resulting in a net gain of 3,287 jobs.
A new survey of employment in docklands was carried out by the LDDC in 1987. Its findings will be published shortly. From what can be seen in docklands, a further growth of employment is likely to be confirmed.
