§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe dangers of pollution from farms are being continually brought to the notice of farmers in Wales by the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service. It also offers free advice on what steps should be taken to minimise the risk of pollution. Capital grants are available under the agriculture improvement scheme for the handling, storage and treatment of agricultural wastes. Plans are in hand to stage a major demonstration in Dyfed in early 1989 on the avoidance of agricultural pollution. ADAS and the Welsh water authority are co-operating in staging that event.
