§ Mr. LangAt present industrial derating, at the level of 40 per cent., applies to all manufacturing industry in Scotland. We have made it clear that industrial derating will continue to have a place in Scotland until the reform of the non-domestic rating system is complete. The appropriate level of derating after 1990 will be considered in the light of the results of the forthcoming revaluation.
