§ Mr. MoynihanIt has never been intended that Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Pollution should attempt to inspect all licensed landfill sites. Its remit is to visit selected sites in order to discharge its functions of advising waste disposal authorities and promoting adequate and consistent standards and it undertakes this job effectively.
