§ 20. Mr. JackTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the latest initiatives he has taken to reduce National Health Service hospital waiting lists in Scotland.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythI am currently considering the allocation of the £3 million which I have set aside for the current year to reduce waiting lists and waiting times. Health boards have reacted enthusiastically to this initiative and over 180 projects have been submitted for assistance. I hope to make the first allocations to boards very shortly.
