We welcome current negotiations for peaceful solutions in Angola and Namibia. We support all efforts to secure the withdrawal of Cuban and South African forces and national reconciliation in Angola and to implement the United Nations plan for Namibian independence. We believe that these are essential steps to restore stability in the region.
