§ Mr. AtkinsConsideration of high-speed rail links through the Channel tunnel from regional centres is still at an early stage. My Department keeps closely in touch with British Rail and business nationally and regionally over the way services can be developed once the tunnel is open in 1993, in order to maximise the benefits to the business community.
