§ Mr. MoynihanAny proposal to develop a facility under the sea bed would be subject to a number of legal considerations. These will depend on the specific nature and location of the proposal.

§ Mr. MoynihanThe Department of the Environment has undertaken no research directly related to the disposal of nuclear waste since 1982 when Nirex was established. The company now has responsibility for such research. Work undertaken up to that time has been published and made available to Nirex.
