§ Mr. John PattenWe are looking for an extension and an intensification of the considerable efforts that are now being made locally to deal with local problems. We have been pleased to see an increase in the number of industry watch schemes being established around the country, including a particularly successful one at the North Lynn industrial estate in my hon. Friend's constituency. One of the aims of crime concern, the new national crime prevention organisation which was launched on 23 May, will be to stimulate and support local initiatives of this kind.
