HC Deb 23 June 1988 vol 135 c650W
Mr. Hayward

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he is satisfied with the levels of impounded water in the counties of Gwent, Mid and South Glamorgan; and if levels are sufficient to avoid restrictions on use during the next three months.

Mr. Grist

Present levels of impounded water in the three counties are typical of those to be expected at this time of year. The water resources position currently gives no cause for concern and there are no plans to introduce restrictions on use. The situation will, of course, be subject to review as the summer progresses.
