§ Mrs. RumboldGCSE syllabuses are determined by the GCSE examining groups in accordance with the GCSE general criteria and with the subject-specific national criteria, where appropriate. GCSE criteria and syllabuses will be revised to reflect the 16-plus attainment targets and programmes of study for the national curriculum subjects, including any relating to health education which is a cross-curricular theme to be covered within the core and other foundation subjects.
