§ Mrs. Margaret EwingTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many representations he has received since the publication of circular FE/65 as it relates to the defined working week and annual leave allocated to principals of Scottish further education colleges; and whether any of these supported the new conditions of service which will be implemented on 1 September.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythMy right hon. and learned Friend has received representations on behalf of three college principals and one deputy principal. Several representations have also been made by or on behalf of the Association of Principals of Colleges. None of these has expressed support for the new conditions of service relating to the contractual working week or annual leave entitlement.
