§ Mr. GristAs a result of the consultation exercise which my hon. Friend has mentioned, the corporate management programme for the Health Service in Wales is to be issued today. It details the work which must be undertaken by a whole range of interests to enable the health care services in Wales to adapt constructively to changes in the environment, so as to ensure the highest standards of care and value for money. The programme paves the way for more patients in Wales to receive the health care they need, when they need it and for that care to be of the highest quality. There is further evidence of our commitment to ensuring that the people of Wales receive first-rate health services for the years to come.
