§ Mr. SpearingTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in theOfficial Report all studies and investigations he has announced concerning any aspect of planning and housing in the Greater London 486W area, stating for each the purpose of the study, by whom it is being undertaken, and the date of expected publication.
§ Mr. TrippierThe Department has commissioned an east London housing study to examine the scope for housing in five areas of east London. Coopers arid Lybrand Associates are undertaking the study, which is due to be completed by October 1988.
In addition, the Department has commissioned a number of other studies, which while not dealing specifically with London, may touch on some aspect of housing or planning in London. Full lists of the 1988–89 studies are given in DOE planning research programmes newsletter and the housing research programme as annexed to DOE press release 224. Copies of both of these have been placed in the Libraries of the House.
