HC Deb 20 June 1988 vol 135 c442W
25. Mr. Hardy

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if, when he next meets the chairman of British Rail, he will raise the question of the conditions of British Rail's main line stations.

Mr. David Mitchell

No. The conditions of main line stations are purely a matter for British Rail, who are well aware of the importance of quality of service, in the widest sense. If the hon. Member has a particular area of concern perhaps he will write to British Rail (and copy his letter to me).
