To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will express Overseas Development Administration expenditure as a percentage of gross national product(a) in the financial year 1978–79 and (b) in the current financial year.

Expenditure under the net aid programme in 1978–79 represented 0.41 per cent. of GNP. The comparable figure for the current financial year will not be available until later next year.
