To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the number of value added tax refund claims under Customs and Excise notice No. 719 processed for the fiscal year 1986–87.

I presume my hon. Friend refers to the fiscal year 1987–88 as my hon. Friend's question on notice No. 719 for the year 1986–87 was answered on 26 November 1987 at column291. The number of claims processed in the fiscal year 1987–88 was 9,254.
