§ Mr. WaldegraveWe have received a number of representations expressing concern about the length of time taken by some local authorities to respond to search inquiries. The Government share this concern. The problem and possible solutions are currently being examined by the conveyancing standing committee of the Law Commission whose recommendations we will study carefully.
