§ Mr. Norman Lamont[holding answer 7 June 1988]: Information on the level of community charge equivalent to domestic rates in 1988–89 is not yet available. Information of the kind requested would be of doubtful value because patterns of spending by local authorities and by individuals are likely to change when the community charge is introduced.
