§ Mr. PikeTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what bids were submitted by local education authorities for the additional funding made available by his Department for the improvement of educational buildings in inner city areas; what allocations have been made; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. DunnForty authorities which cover an urban programme area submitted supplementary plans totalling £89 million. Those are currently under consideration and we expect to announce additional allocations to some authorities shortly.
