§ Mr. EggarUnited Nations resolution 42/231 on the United Nations special plan of economic co-operation for Central America was adopted by consensus, which the United Kingdom joined, together with all our EEC partners.
We did not co-sponsor the resolution because we wished to make an explanation of vote on it. I understand that several other countries, including a number of Commonwealth countries, also decided not to co-sponsor.
