To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when a live vaccine for use against tuberculosis in badgers was first isolated.

There is no live vaccine suitable for use against tuberculosis in badgers. Laboratory trials using a killed strain of the bacillus mycobacterium vaccae are in progress.
