§ Dr. MarekTo ask the Minister for the Civil Service if any extra funding will be made available to the Civil Service, in the light of recent policy announcements on(a) race relations and (b) the employment of women.
§ Mr. LuceCivil Service equal opportunity policies on the employment of women and ethnic minorities form part of the normal personnel management work of Departments. Actions to implement these policies are taken within Departmental running costs. My Department is giving priority to increasing the effectiveness of Civil Service equal opportunity policies.
