HC Deb 10 June 1988 vol 134 cc730-1W
Mr. Redwood

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment why he turned down a planning application at Dartford to develop 1,000 acres for houses, jobs and leisure; and what representations were received from the local community.

Mr. Waldegrave

My right hon. Friend refused planning permission for this development for the reasons contained in the decision letter dated 24 May. I am today sending my hon. Friend a copy of that letter together with a copy of the inspector's report. The report summarises the representations received both in favour of and in opposition to the proposals.
