To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the future of the sheepmeat industry with special reference to the less-favoured areas, including Exmoor.

The sheep sector is buoyant; LFA farmers are making a key contribution to our success and, in the forthcoming negotiations, we shall be seeking to ensure that they continue to do so.
