§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe have commissioned a leading consulting and testing engineer to undertake an independent investigation of the important and complex issues underlying the views reached by the engineer to this contract. The investigation will cover other concrete roads built to the same specification, which have apparently not suffered from such extensive problems. We expect to reach a view on the question of responsibility by about the end of the year.
