§ Mr. David MitchellOn 19 January a coroner's inquest returned a verdict of death by misadventure having taken account of investigations by one of my Department's marine surveyors. Revised safety procedures have been brought into operation which should prevent a repetition of the tragic accident and further inquiry would serve no useful purpose.
