§ 91. Mr. David NicholsonTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the United Kingdom's relations with Czechoslovakia.
§ Mr. MellorRelations have not developed in recent months as we had hoped. We have had to protest twice to the Czechoslovak Government about violent police actions. We are concerned about Czechoslovakia's failure to honour all its commitments in the field of human rights. However, we continue to attach importance to relations with Czechoslovakia. I plan to visit Prague in June, and look forward to a full discussion of all aspects of our relations.
