To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement about the present level of youth unemployment in the London boroughs, and the prospects for jobs.

In April 1988 the number of unemployed claimants aged under 18 years of age in the Greater London region was 7.777, a fall of 28.2 per cent. over the last 12 months.
