§ Mrs. RumboldThe language assistants scheme administered on behalf of my Department by the Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges does not operate on the basis of exchanges but of individual appointments arranged with reciprocating countries. In 1987–88, the central bureau arranged for the following English appointments:—
