Mr. Allen

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many cases of unfair dismissal because of trade union activity have been brought before industrial tribunals in each of the last 10 years; and what percentage were successful.

The best available information on the number of complaints since 1979 of unfair dismissal because of trade union membership or activity which have been heard by industrial tribunals is set out in the table.
