To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he last met representatives from Health Care International; and what subjects were discussed.

My right hon. and learned Friend met representatives from Health Care International during a visit to the Harvard university medical centre on 12 October 1987. The subjects discussed were American public and private sector provision, and arrangements for the supply of blood to the hospital which HCI proposes to build in Clydebank.
