§ Mr. RandallTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many of those arrested on 14 April in the raid on a house in Clapham way were(a) interviewed in connection with immigration offences and (b) detained in connection with such offences; and with regard to what suspected or alleged breaches of immigration control these people were interviewed or charged.
§ Mr. RentonNine persons were interviewed by immigration officers in respect of their immigration status. Five of these persons were found to be lawfully in the United Kingdom and the police were informed accordingly. The remaining four persons were found to be illegal entrants and were detained under the Immigration Act prior to their removal.
